The clinic, at the Partnership’s eye hospital in Cebu City, offers free check-ups, cleaning, battery tests and firmware checks to wearers of any make of optical implant, and takes reports for the Independent Implant Register in Cebuano, Tagalog and English.
Before it opened, the nearest independent service for wearers in the Visayas was in Manila. The Partnership has run cataract surgery funded by the Foundation since 2016.
The clinic was funded through the 2024 aftercare call. The 2027 round of the same call opens in September 2026.
